What is the Tanya?
A book written in 1796. Still running the household.
In 1796, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi wrote a book called the Tanya. It is the cornerstone of Chabad Chassidic philosophy — one of the most studied texts in Jewish mysticism.
It teaches three things that matter very much:
Every soul carries a divine spark.
The purpose of life is to let that spark lead.
Wisdom — real wisdom — does not come from fear. It comes from love.
The Tanya is not a rulebook. It is a map of the inner life. A guide to the soul. A reminder that the divine is not somewhere far away — it is inside you, right now, waiting to be recognized.
Our TANYA already knew all of this. She just expressed it through dinner at 6 and a look that said everything without saying a word.
Who is TANYA?
The mother of mothers. The one who already knew.
Her name is Tanya.
She is the kind of woman who held everything together before anyone thought to ask if it needed holding. The one who remembered every birthday, every allergy, every unspoken need. The one who showed up — quietly, completely, without a thank-you card.
She is the mother who made the kugel and never once complained about it. The one who lit the candles, set the table, and kept the whole thing running — generationally, gracefully, without ever asking for the spotlight.
This brand is for her. Named after her. Built in her honor.
Because the mom always deserved the spotlight. She just never asked for it.

TANYA. The mother. The brand. The book. All three, somehow, the same.

The Book Meets the Mom
Two TANYAs. One truth.
"The Tanya says every soul carries a divine spark. Our TANYA says dinner is at 6. Same teaching. Different delivery method. Both correct."
Rabbi Schneur Zalman spent years writing the Tanya. He was trying to answer one question: how does a person live a meaningful life?
Our TANYA answered the same question every single day. Without a book. Without a title. Without anyone asking.
She just knew. She always knew.
The Tanya teaches that wisdom flows from love, not fear. That the divine spark in every person is real, and it is the job of every soul to let that spark lead.
Our TANYA did not need a philosophy degree to understand this. She understood it the way she understood everything — completely, quietly, and before you even thought to ask.
This brand is named for both. Because they are, in their own way, the same book.
TANYA the brand. Named after the text. Named after the mom. Managed by TANYA. Generationally.
